TagScanner 6.19 x64 Portable

TagScanner is a program for renaming and editing TAGs of music files. With its help you can change the names of several files in bulk without much effort.

Just specify the folder where the songs are located, select them and you can change several names at once. What's more, just go from song to song editing their TAGs so that they display with the correct information when listening on your audio player.

Editing song titles:

• There are two ways to edit song tags using TagScanner. One is manual, where you enter field by field all the information related to the songs (title, artist, year, genre, album, author, etc.) and then confirm each change individually.
• Another way is to search online services such as Amazonand the music database site freedb. In this case, you can specify a search and usually get several results. Choose the one that best suits your situation and confirm the processing of that data.

Using TagScanner:

• To get started with the program, specify a folder with your MP3 files in the “Folder” field at the bottom of the program window. You can choose either the folder of a specific album or the root folder of all your songs (to group them by origin folder later).
• The program's tabs will tell you which direction to go: if you want to rename files, go to the “Music Renamer” section. If you want to edit song TAG files (manually), go to the “TAG Editor” tab. Finally, to edit TAGs automatically by searching for information on the Internet, go to the “TAG Processor” tab.

 Other features:

• TagScanner supports the following formats: MP3, OGG, Muspack, Monkey's Audio, FLAC, AAC, OptimFROG, SPEEX, WavePack, TrueAudio, WMA and MP4. In addition, the program knows how to create playlists and export them to HTML, XLS (Microsoft Excel) and CSV (Comma Separated Values) formats.
• To find out what a particular button does, you just need to move the mouse cursor over it and then see what is displayed in the status bar at the bottom of the window. To make life easier for users, the program has an interface in several languages, including Brazilian Portuguese.

My opinion:

TagScanner is a great choice for those who want to better organize their music files of various formats. That's where one of its advantages lies: it supports files of the most popular formats on the web, making it a very complete program in this regard.

But the completeness of the program does not end there, because it continues to make life easier for the user by searching for information about songs on the Internet, which it successfully copes with. In general, the program is easy to use. Perhaps what complicates it the most is the large number of functions, but there is nothing that anyone would not get used to after spending a little time.
